Happy Gotcha Day!!!

Yesterday was Gotcha Day! It's hard to believe that 2 years have passed since Zachary became our son! We had a wonderful night with our little boy. He started with a hotdog...got some presents that we brought home from China and then ate some of his giant chocolate chip cookie cake!

I remember the day we received our child like it was yesterday. I remember how terrified he was, I remember how heartbroken his nannies were to leave him, I remember how hot and loud the room was, I remember all of the tears (both happy and sad), I remember the moment I held him in my arms, I remember how Tom just melted when he saw him for the first time.....those memories are such a blessing.

He has grown so much over the last 2 years! Sometimes I just find myself so overwhelmed with love and gratitude that he is my son that I almost can't breath. My life is so full of blessings! I can't wait to see what the next year brings!

Our Little Boy is 4 Years Old!!!

It's true. Our little angel is now 4 years old. He has grown so much in the last year and a half! There is a part of me that would love to freeze time, yet the rest of me can't wait to see what comes next. In all my dreams I never could have imagined how truly amazing it is to be a parent. We love our little boy more than any words could ever describe....and he loves us. He trusts us. He feels safe with us. He feels loved with us. We feel so incredibly blessed to be his mama and daddy.

I hope that his China mom and dad somehow know in their hearts that he has family that adores him and will spend the rest of their lives helping him become the best version of himself.
