More Roadblocks....

Well, as it turns out, our paperwork is stalled at immigration until we have ANOTHER homestudy update and a new DCFS endorsement letter sent to them. All I have to say about that is...YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING ME!?!?! We have still not gotten our Travel Approval, which is beyond frustrating. Maybe tomorrow......

This is Where Zachary is Right Now

Zachary is in Shenzhen City. It's really hot there right now. We have been told that the weather is similar to Texas in the summer. I can't wait to meet our little guy and to see his beautiful homeland!

When Will the Wait be OVER?

Well, we are still waiting for our TA. Some families got their good news yesterday...and some more got their good news today. Our turn should be any day now!!! I'm fully expecting the call this week and I can hardly stand it! I'm thrilled for the families that are going to go and get their little ones!!! I want to go and get our little one too!

Waiting on Travel Approval....

As of today, it has been 5 weeks since our LSC was sent to China. We were originally told that the Travel Approvals normally arrive 2-4 weeks after LSC's are sent. Nothing yet. So, the wait continues.....

It has been almost 5 months since we first saw Zachary's sweet face. I can hardly believe how much he's changed since we first fell in love with him.

We are so close to bringing him home, yet so very very very far away and it's breaking my heart. I just want to hold him in my arms. I want to tell him that I love him. I want to feed him. I want to take him for a ride in his wagon. I want to read him books. I want to give him a bath. I want to tuck him in. I want to hear him laugh. I want to hear his voice. I want him home.

Still Waiting.....

Per usual, we are still waiting. We are waiting to hear from immigration regarding our fingerprints....we are waiting to hear about TA's from our agency.....we are waiting to hug Zach......

Whew!

I just got an email from Leigh Anne at Great Wall. It appears that we will not need to update any of our paperwork for the American Consulate. That is a HUGE relief!!! We are still waiting to hear from immigration regarding our fingerprints though.....very frustrating! Once that is taken care of, I will breathe a little easier! Please keep your fingers and toes crossed for us!!!

This Paperwork is Killing Me!!!

We got an email from our agency yesterday stating that there was a new policy in place regarding the specific wording of the home study and the I-171H. I have no idea if this affects us or not. We just got through the home study update and it took over 3 months to get it from our social worker. I was a wreck last night while I was emailing immigration, our agency and our social workers. I'm still not sure if this is going to be an issue for us and if we are going to need an additional update. Immigration emailed me back, but without really answering any of my questions. Our social worker was trying to collect additional information regarding this new policy today. Our agency seems to this that we are going to be fine. Very stressed out! I'm very glad that it's the weekend!

Rumor is.....AUGUST!!!

Even though we are still waiting for our official travel approval, we have been told that we should be going to China in August! Whooohoooo! Our visa applications are on their way to the consulate and we should get them back around the 16th of July. Every step is one step closer to Zachary! If only immigration would set our fingerprint appointments.....Hopefully we will hear something soon. That is our last big hurdle at this point. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Our Little Sweetie is Getting Some Presents!!!

Ann sent us a photo of the gifts that Zach is going to receive this week. I hope that he is excited when he gets his presents!!! This will be the first time that he gets a glance of his mommy and daddy!

Tom and I ordered a care package for our little guy from Red Thread China. He will be receiving it towards the end of this week. Ann was not only able to get his updated measurements, but 3 new photos too! Still no smiles, but he is cute as can be! Thank you, Ann! You are an angel!!!

Back Away From The Duck!!!

Care Package

We ordered a care package from Red Thread China tonight. I am hoping that Ann is able to get some updated measurements and pictures of Zachary. He will be getting a stuffed animal, some pajamas, candy, a photo album and a letter from us that is translated into Chinese. It would be great if we received a picture of what is being sent to him. The package will include a disposable camera so the angels that are taking care of our son can take some pictures of him for us. They will give it to us when we meet our little boy! I hope to get travel dates sometime soon so we can start an official countdown!!!!

Somebody got a new shirt!!!!

When I got home from work today, there was a box on our porch. Tom was shopping on-line again!!! Zachary got a new snoopy shirt!!!
